I’ve been following NASCAR for a while and occasionally I come across the term ‘3chi’ but I’m not quite clear on what it signifies within the NASCAR context. I’m aware of the various sponsorships and terms commonly used in racing, but 3chi doesn’t seem to directly relate to a driver, team, or track that I can recall.

Could someone shed some light on this for me? It might be a newer term or related to an aspect of NASCAR that I’m not as familiar with. If it’s related to sponsorship, technology in the sport, or a racing term that’s recently been coined, I’d appreciate an explanation to get up to speed.

3Chi isn’t a term traditionally associated with NASCAR like you might find with terms referring to drafting or tire compounds. It’s actually a company that specializes in hemp-based products, including Delta-8 THC, which have psychoactive properties. The connection to NASCAR comes from sponsorship—3Chi has served as a sponsor for various events and racers within the sport. Sponsorships like this are common in NASCAR and can sometimes lead to a brand’s name becoming almost synonymous with the sport during their partnership period.

Given that NASCAR has a broad pool of sponsors from many different industries, it’s understandable that keeping track of them can be challenging. Since this is a relatively new development in the sponsorship landscape, it’s not surprising if regular fans haven’t caught on to every new sponsor name that pops up. Have you noticed an increase in non-traditional companies, such as those from the cannabis industry, getting involved in NASCAR?
