I’m looking to find out the total runtime for all the Harry Potter films put together. I’d like to know if anyone has calculated this already. I’m referring to the main series films starting with “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” and ending with “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2”.
Does the total include any extended or director’s cut versions that might have been released, or should the calculation be based only on the theatrical releases? I’m planning a marathon and need to figure out how much time to set aside.
The total runtime for all the theatrical releases of the Harry Potter films is around 19 hours and 39 minutes. This does not include any extended or director’s cut versions, which if added might increase your marathon time a bit. It’s actually a manageable length for a marathon if you start early and perhaps allow for short breaks in between the movies.
Planning a marathon can be quite fun, especially with the Harry Potter series as they can really immerse you in the magical world for the whole day. Make sure to have plenty of snacks and comfy pillows around!
Since you’re organizing a marathon, are you also including any of the spin-off films like “Fantastic Beasts” in your planning, or just sticking to the main Harry Potter series?
